Blog Nº6: A major I would like to study.

Hello to everyone!

Well this is the last blog that I’m posting and I’m going to be honest, I’m very happy for that! The topic of what I’m going to talk today is about a postgraduate course that I would take in the future.

Like I said in my last post, I would love to study the major “Magíster en Comunicación Política” which is imparted by the ICEI. The main reason of why I would take this course is because I consider that it would help me a lot in the job that I want to do in the future, give political advice or political marketing it’s something that it truly catch my interest. Honestly, I feel like I want to study all the subjects in the study plan, all of them seem very interesting.

Sometimes I feel like I want to go and study a post grade course in another country (like United Kingdom or USA), but I think that I would be very happy studying this here in Chile and honestly, the main reason why I sometimes want to study in another country is because I want to travel. I would like to study in a presential format (I’m tired as hell of online class)

And well, that’s everything for today, I hope that someday I would be able to study this major, because I truly want to do it.

Thank you a lot for reading me!

Blog Nº5: "A job I would like to have in the future"

Hello to everyone!

The topic of this blog is a job that I would like to have in the future. I find this a very hard topic because is not something that I use to think a lot. But I guess that obviously it would be something related with my career (which is political science).

After I did a lot of thinking, I concluded that I really would like to work in something related to give political advice or political marketing. I imagine it as a funny, interesting and sometimes dramatic job.

One of the things that attract me about this job is that it has the perfect mixture between outdoors and indoors. I think about myself having my own office (something that I’ve always wanted because I believe that is so cool that you could say to someone “get out of my office”) and also having to do a lot of work in field (meeting people and stuff like that), but I don’t want to travel a lot, maybe sometimes, but not always.

I’m not going to lie; I would love to have a big salary and I think that giving politic advice you could win a lot (but it depends of the charge). I would love to study a major related to this, indeed, I already search for it and I’ve found the “Magíster en Comunicación Política” imparted by the “ICEI”. The reason behind I would make this choice is that I’m very interested in the topic of the major and I’m very attracted to the study program.

I’ve always been interesting in this kind of jobs, I think that is cause that my favorite chapter of “Black Mirror” is the first one of the season one (I love how it shows the political machine in charge of watching the public opinion).

Well, that’s everything for today, than you a lot for reading!

 Blog Nº4: "Shakira MTV Unplugged"

Hello to everyone!

Today I’m going to write about one of my favorite live record of all time: “Shakira MTV Unplugged”.

Shakira is one of my favorite artists of all time (alongside with Madonna and Christina Aguilera) and I truly love this album (released the day February 29th, 2000).

I think that the first time that I heard it (consciously) were when I was in high school and I started to discover the type of music that I most liked. I’ve already heard “Dónde están los ladrones” (Shakira’s album released in 1998) and it have become one of my most played records of all time, so when I heard the Unplugged, which ten of the eleven songs are live versions of the tracks of “Dónde están los ladrones”, I immediately fell in love with this live record.

It’s hard for me to say which songs of this album are my preferred, but those that I most enjoy hearing are “Moscas en la Casa”, “Inevitable”, “Estoy Aquí” and “No Creo”. The only thing that really drives mad about this record is that the only track of “Dónde están los ladrones” that wasn’t played in this concert is “Que Vuelvas”, my favorite song of that record, and one of my favorite record of all the Shakira’s songs!

Well, that’s everything for today, thank you a lot for reading!

Fun Fact: Because I write about this album, I have the need of hear it again, so I think that is what I’m going to do now.

Blog Nº3: "The Meaning of Mariah Carey"

Hello to everyone!!

Well, today is a free topic so I decided to write about a book that I recently read. This book is called “The Meaning of Mariah Carey” and is written by Mariah Carey and Michaela Angela Davis.

This is an autobiography, and oh my god it’s very good!! Basically, spills all the tea that everyone wanted to know. The book is separated in four sections.

The first one tells everything about her childhood, and honestly is sad as hell, sometimes when I was reading it, I feel like I wanted to a cry a little, because her relationship with her family is absolutely not good.

The second one tells how she got her record contract, her awful relationship with her first husband Tommy Mottola (who was also the principal executive of Sony Music at the time), how she managed to get away of him, a lot of stories about the creative process of a lot of her 90’s bops (“Vision of love”, “Make It Happen”, “Hero”, “Always be my Baby”, etc.).  And how she basically invented the songs between a pop artist and a hip-hop artist.

The third one tells everything related to the “Loverboy” drama and the fourth one tells a lot of little stories from 2000 onwards (her relationship with Luis Miguel, her biggest comeback with “We Belong Together”, her second marriage, how she became a mother and how she is now).

This book is important to me because is the first book that I have ever read that is fully in English and I recommend it to everyone who knows a little of Mariah Carey.

That’s everything for today, thank you a lot for reading!

Blog Nº2: The Best Holiday I Had

Hello to everyone! Today I’m going to talk about the best holiday I ever had.

This trip was in the summer of 2017, I’m not sure if it was in January or in February. What makes special this travel to me it’s that I went with a big part of my family (my mom and dad plus a lot of aunts, uncles and cousins)  to Licanray, this little town is located by the Calafquén Lake in the “Región de la Araucanía”. It was for three or four days full of good times.

We did a lot of things, like going to the lake, taking walks around the hill, do kayaking, share in family, etc. I consider this trip the best holiday I ever had mostly because I loved to travel with so many relatives and I have a lot of great memories, one of them is one time that we were all walking through a hill and a cousin fell, an aunt started to laugh a lot because of the situation and meanwhile she was laughing of my cousin she fell in the same place, this was a very funny situation.

If you have the chance of go to Licanray, please do it, is a gorgeous place and in the town there's every basic stuff you need for when you go on vacation (like a supermarket, ATM, etc)

Well, that’s everything for today, thank you a lot for reading!

Blog Nº1: A country I would like to visit

Hello to everyone that are reading this!

I really would like to visit Switzerland. I don’t have a particular reason to explain this choice, I just consider that the geography of this state very beautiful, I think that I fell in love when I saw some photos of the mountains that are found there. Also, it can not be set aside the gorgeous middle age architecture of some of the cities.

Sincerely, I do not know a lot about this country or it’s history, the thing that I most knowledge I have about Switzerland is that in Ginebra (the capital of the country) is ubicated a United Nations building, that once was the headquarters of “League of Nations”.

If I was there, I would like to travel around all the territory, appreciating the beautiful landscapes, take a lot of pictures and specially eat a lot of typical food (on the top of my priorities are the sweet food).

I don’t really like to live there, mainly because I don’t speak any of the official languages of the country (German, French, Italian and Romanesque) and I found them a little difficult to learn (I prefer to keep practicing my English).

Well, that’s everything for today. Thank you a lot for reading!
